45 Degree Hyperextension Roman Chair

I bought this product when it only had 12 reviews and one-half decent picture. From my experience with other products I could tell from the pictures that this thing was likely good quality for the price. Right off the bat the pictures and product description do not do a good job explaining just how good a quality this is especially at this price.The 2-inch square tubing is some above average steel gauge, I suspect it is 11-gauge steel. They really should disclose this here or on the Sunny website (I could not find exact specs). It is thicker than most home gym equipment I encounter unless you are paying way more than $300. I have a Rogue Echo bike and the steel being used is very close and Rogue is known for over engineering and using above average (more than is truly necessary) steel gauge.The foam padding is very high density, I have two other benches that are flat only, one of which I built myself and this is much higher density foam than either of the other two. It is 2-inch-thick foam.The vinyl fabric covering the bench is also very good with excellent stitching and no give or wrinkles.The leg foam rolls are 4x8-inch thick high-density foam and covered in vinyl and feel very good quality. They slide onto a 1-inch steel tube that is very sturdy.The red plastic end caps could have been nicer if made of some metal but surprisingly they are very strong and not as cheap as you might have thought from the pictures.They have very strong rubber anti slip feet on the ends that will not be sliding off as they do on cheap benches. It is extremely sturdy with no wobble.The backrest adjusting frame is very well made, it has very nice and thick rubber/foam handles to grab when adjusting and overall feels very premium compared to other adjustable benches with similar design I have used.Cons: it is tall (20.5-inch), taller than a competition/regulation flat bench (17-inch), thereby taller than my other two benches, which is unfortunate but not uncommon in adjustable benches. Be warned as I see someone short having issues. Just so happens to be perfect for me (6’1”).Packaging/Shipping: This arrived via UPS and the hardware was scattered all over the inside, it is technically inside a vacuum sealed package inside the larger shipping box but it arrived to me having somehow opened and scattered everywhere. The actual benches large box was not completely sealed which is risky since little pieces can easily fly out during shipping. By some miracle only 3 black flat washers were missing, which as luck would have it I had just barely enough spare ones in my home tools/supplies. But most people will not have these around. If a screw, spring washer, or other less common items like the bushings or rotation rods are missing that would have tainted the whole experience. But I will not ding a star just because the actual product is very good. One other thing is the tube on the backrest into which the bushings and one of the rods is supposed to slide into was dented and no longer a circle so rather then return I just fixed it myself and hammered things in luckily it did not affect functionality at all. I blame UPS a little on this but recommend an upgrade to packaging for the company. This probably sound scary since no one wants to have to fix new things, but shipping is always a roll of the dice, I tend to be very forgiving since I have experience fixing things.I took lots of pictures, all the ones I wish had been available when I was shopping for this bench. I think Sunny has done an amazing job at the price point, I will likely take a look at their other products and hope they do a better job advertising the good specs their equipment seems to have based on this bench.

This Roman chair/back hyper extension is very well made, looks great and is sturdy. It came well packaged and was easy to assemble is a short amount of time. Haven’t tried for dips as brought it for QL extensions which it’s prefect for. Folds away for easy storage in home gym. Great product and would highly recommend if you are after one.

Good affordable home option. But it’s lacking the professional quality of a commercial gym. It’s angled a little too low, and the lowest setting is still too high for a girls frame. It falls perfectly with your hips if you’re over 5’6”. But for the price, I can’t really fault those things. I purchased this for my boyfriend anyway.It was packed well, and didn’t take too long to build either so overall I would recommend this product. Just don’t expect everything for a little bit.

Ok I’m small and light, 67kg and 170cm so the set up works for me and feels stable. I think the latest model has foot plates this would be a vast improvement. However all I wanted was a way to strengthen my back safely without going to the gym. This does the job. You will be impressed by the way it is shipped and the assembly instructions are mostly straightforward, near the end I got a bit confused. The quality was amazing everything fit and was fit for purpose. Negatives the tools for assembling are rubbish OK to hold the nuts but not for tightening. I have my own spanners (wrenches) you will need a set.

Great tool added to my workout, hitting the Glutes and lower back, which is great for balance and stability , Seeing a slight difference to stomach too

Good piece of equipment to have for your glutes and lower back, design could have been a little more male friendly allowing more space in between the upper pads for your jewels to be rather than being squished against it, it gets a little uncomfortable and sometimes you have to stop and readjust yourself mid excersize.

Surprisingly stable. Length from foot plate to top of pad is 995 mm, dip bar width is 600 mm centre which makes it difficult to keep your elbows in when doing dips. As a 189 cm tall male, the dimensions are just about adequate for dips and back extensions. Super quick to fold up and store when compared to the other versions on Amazon which require bolts to be undone etc. Only gripe is that the hip pads are a little bit too close together for a male...

Stop looking. This is your incline bench. Sturdy, awesome/easy instructions to assemble, bench is solid. I’ve purchased 4 items from Sunny and it is the best bang for your buck.

First of all, the equipment itself is quite heavy! Even on the box it says to carry with 2 persons, so take that into consideration during delivery.Very solid and easy to install. The manual instructions are good and it has many lock washers, so the nuts will not become loose. The pads are also good, they are not too hard but also not too soft to affect the exercise. The top part might move a bit left or right, because it's foldable, but the base does not move and the top movement will not cause balance issues.Excellent if you need to do isometric exercises for lower back (the main use for it in my house), but of course you can do many more.I find it very useful to put it close to the bed, so I do 5-10 mins of isometric exercises every night without excuses and exceptions, because it's right there. It is a good clothes hanger too, but try to not put too many clothes because it will discourage you to do exercises.It is more expensive than other models, but I am more than happy with how sturdy and heavy it is, which is important because you fully lean on it and do dips too.If you are not in a hurry, get it on sale, but it's a good purchase nonetheless.

Me ha sorprendido para bien, es robusto y aguanta bien el peso de una persona (74kg en mi caso), se ve estable y no se mueve, además se puede guardar fácilmente sin ocupar mucho espacio, lo recomiendo 100%

My first back extension bench. Been following YouTube channel Low Back Ability. It’s really helped me. Although my stomach area does get uncomfortable when using as the main pads have a gap in the centre and I use a towel on top so taking a star away. Overall pleased!

Good quality, suitable price, easy installation (if you followed the catalog correctly).

The quality is ok considering the price. I bought it for hyperextensions, works for me. Recommended for home use.

Dudé un poco en adquirirlo o no ya que algunas personas comentan que les llegó incompleto que les faltaban algunas tuercas o tornillos, dudo que esto pase ya que los tornillos vienen en una planilla sellados y señalados con un número para facilitar el armado, me tardé un poco en armarlo pero no porque el manual no sea claro, la verdad es bastante claro pero si son bastantes tornillos los que hay que colocar. Respecto al producto en sí, me parece de buena calidad, muy útil, me encantó, llevo un rato usándolo y no he tenido problema alguno, muy satisfecho con la compra, lo recomiendo.

When I purchased yesterday, I did not see any reviews so thought I'd throw my initial review up. I received this bench in less than 24 hours after ordering. When it arrived, it looked rather daunting with all the tools and instructions. But I assembled this in a little over an hour by myself.The bench is very sturdy and I have no worries about it crumbling on me during a heavy set. It goes from decline all the way to 90 degrees. There is minimal space between the seat and the bench so I don't feel like you'll slide in. It does seem a little pricey but compared to commercial grade benches which can easily run $700+, this is a solid buy.

Assembled according to instructions and it is very stable. The slope of the bench is very easy and fast to adjust. Does what a workout bench is supposed to do.

I give five stars with a bit of caution because it's only being a couple of weeks since I bought it.Never used one before and wish I had bought one years and years ago. Also think that the quality seems good enough to last years and years.

If everyday i do about 10 minutes of back exercises on this no-frills and perfect chair my mid and low back pain stays under control and doesn't bother me. I'm 72 and X-rays, CT scan and MRI have demonstrated a healed compression fracture (docs can't tell if it's symptomatic) and stenosis and arthritis at most lumbar and thoracic levels. Multiple epidurals and three courses of P.T. at three different facilities weren't nearly as effective as daily use of this simple tool.

Very sturdy and built to last. Setup took a little time but the online instructions make the process really simple. It works very well and is customisable to fit the user. Making changes on-the-go are doable but not super easy, but given the price, I have zero complaints. I am sure this will last many years.

It requires a fair bit of work to assemble but the instructions are excellent. Be patient, read the instructions a few times, look for details in the drawings and you will be fine. I am about six foot tall and the the Roman Chair works for me. I can feel the glutes working ,if you are new to this exercise start off slowly. Well made, I am pleased with it and recommend it.
