General Data Protection Regulation
General Data Protection Regulation
Overview
The new General Data Protection Regulation is a regulation in EU law on data protection for individuals. It aims to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data (address, email, phone number, etc.)
How Does It Affect JLL Fitness Ltd?
We always play by the rules anyway, so it doesn't impact us as heavily as others. All this means is that we have to prove where we have collected our customers data from (which we can), and that we can't send emails to individuals with offers and promotional news (which we don't anyway).
What it does mean however, is that if you've signed up to our mailing list in the past then we'll send you another email asking if you would still like to hear off us regarding future promotions and discounts. If you ignore the email then you'll never hear off us again. It's that simple!
If you haven't received an opt in email off of us then please email marketing@jllfitness.co.uk and we'll make sure that you're still on our mailing list.
What It Means For You
Quite simply, this means that you will receive no spam or unwanted emails. And this isn't just off us, it's off everybody. So that's great news for your inbox that will only be filled with important emails. You can also feel safe in the knowledge that your data cannot be sold to any 3rd party companies under law. From a security standpoint, this great news for businesses like us and consumers like you.
In The Event Of Data Breach
In the extremely rare case of a data breach then we are legally required to contact you if there's a risk that your personal information may have been accessed. In this instance, we will be emailing you. However, we can assure you that this is extremely unlikely as we have all the latest software, firewalls and security measures in place to prevent this from happening.
